We are happy to announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding between CALDO and la Asociación Nacional de Universidades e Instituciones de Educación Superior (ANUIES), which represents 179 of the leading higher education institutions in Mexico.
The memorandum of understanding lays the path for ANUIES and CALDO to work towards their shared objective of developing superior higher education and research in science and technology. This agreement looks to strengthen the collaboration between Mexican and Canadian researchers and develop joint research projects, promote inter-university cooperation, develop academic mobility, and organize workshops, seminars, and conferences on areas of common interest.
The signing of the agreement took place on Monday, September 26th in Mexico City in the presence of CALDO President Carolyn Watters, ANUIES Executive Secretary General Jaime Valls Esponda, Ambassador of Canada to Mexico Pierre Alarie, CALDO Executive Director Rodrigo Delgado, and representatives from the Embassy of Canada in Mexico, ANUIES, and CALDO universities.
This agreement reflects both Canada’s and Mexico’s desire for cooperative strategic investment in higher education, research, and technology.
