A researcher may have found first-ever sepsis treatment
Dr. Qingping Feng has been working for more than two decades on a treatment for sepsis that could potentially save millions of lives. He’s a researcher at Western University and was named the 2020 WORLDiscoveries Vanguard Innovator of the year. He and his team developed the protein annexin A5 into a pharmaceutical that may become the world’s first effective treatment for sepsis.
Dr. Feng suggests the product could become a treatment option in about five years.
